  If you'd like another reference, check out the graphs directory in
the CVS project: http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/qualm. I had
to deal with some optimization tricks such as double-buffering and
creating an extensible canvas class that you might find useful. I
was debating whether or not I should whip up an article on graph
drawing for PyZine and well, this might be a good way to guage
interesting :)
