[Jython/Java] Which books, which IDEs, which other tools?

I tried that argument ;-)

The problem is that, in banking anyway, maintenance is the key issue. While
I believe Python code is as maintainable (or more) than Java code, Java
programmers are ten-a-penny in London while Python seems to be a much more
specialised skill.

[Judging by the calls I get from agents asking if I want a Python job, or
know someone who does. They always say that mine is the only CV on their
database that mentions Python.]
