Connecting widgets to Databases

Hi all,
Let's imagine we have make an GUI using Tkinter module.
So, how can we connect an widget (such as a label, text entry etc) to one
field of a Database, in the way we can access/show the data stored in that
field.

Any hint would be appreciate.
