You might want to check 
http://balder.prohosting.com/ibarona/en/python/uspp/uspp_en.html which is 
GPL and works on windows/linux

This one won't work in Jython i guess. Don't know any free ones but u can 
try: http://www.sc-systems.com/ which is commercial and works with Java.
