I'm sure, but not for that reason.  If you're up for writing or
adapting your own NNTP service, and it's going to process incoming
posts as previously described, it should be no great problem to
gate a followup back via email to the originating party, plus anyone
else you have in mind.  (Or as another followup suggested, the users
could CC via email, as they're likely to do half the time anyway, but
it seems better to me to keep that out of the hands of the users and
their bone headed email/news software.)
