I've only very briefly played with it, when I was using Linux on the
gateway. I really liked the idea of an XML-configurable firewall, but in
the end, it wasn't worth it to me switching my relatively complex
iptables configuration over to .... oh wait. In this paragraph I talked
about DAXFi, not Zorp.

Yes, I've tried Zorp, too. IMHO it rocks. I also once tried DeleGate
(http://www.delegate.org/delegate/), which is also very nice.
