[shelve] What are the limitations? Entering too many data crashes it on my machine!

Thanks for your response, Martin!

I went for version 3.3.0, because it's the last version offering a binary
for Python 2.1. But things did not change for the better. It even crashes a
bit earlier (about 1500 entries earlier). And one more "(0, 'Error')".

I'll have access to my XP machine tomorrow again. I'll try then version
4.1.1 (binary for Python 2.2).
