Switch from perl to python?

I'd think the biggest appeal of python over perl would be
its simplicity. Instead of "there's more than one way to
do it," we have "there's pretty much only one right way to
do it." What struck me about Python is that I understood
all of its main linguistic forms within a few days. Every
thing I learned after that was extras.
