Excel sheet, can Python read them in Linux?

        You missed the last line of the subject, I fear.

        Pythonwin/extensions are win32api; the poster is running Linux, a 
totally different OS.

        However, it /may/ be possible to run Excel/Pythonwin from within a 
WINE session. Disclaimer: I have NULL experience with WINE.
