When enough people who feel as you do volunteer all the time and money it
takes to produce an ISO/ANSI standard.  If you haven't been involved in that
process, I can tell you that the effort it requires is staggering.  I know
of no plans to do anything of the sort for Python.

If ISO/ANSI standardization is a requirement for you, forget Python.
