Please ignore the "Yast2" uninstall problem portion of the message, appended
to the end of the message.  I made a wrong assumption regarding the
"Select/Deselect" button in Yast2.  You have to double-click to uninstall a
package (then you will get the coveted 'd' next to the package name), not
single-click like I was.  Leftover Windoze uninstall module habit plus "late
night fuzzy-eyed blues".
