4Suite for Python 2.2

Doesn't it run under 2.2?  (I haven't tried and don't know --
this is a serious question.)

I thought 4Suite was simply a very large collection of XML
processing tools in native Python (which I would have
expected would still run under 2.2).  Or are there binary
libraries which are keyed to python21.dll or something?
