Thanks for the clarification and reassurance Vinay - it sounds like
you're very much on the case!  In particular your comment that if the
hierarchy is set up in the main thread, children should be able to log
with no problems _now_ tells me I can go ahead and use it.  Nice.

I'd just like to say big thanks for the work you've done here: the
module's cool and I'm enjoying using it.  Wish I had time to help
develop it... :-/
