Comments on Version 2, Draft Pep for Deprecating Builtins

On the off chance that this proposal might actually be considered by the
powers-that-be:

-999

Changes that:
a) break lots and lots of code
b) render most (all?) Python books inaccurate
c) eliminate analogies to other common languages (I immediately knew what
"map" and "filter" would do when I was learning python).
d) break lots and lots of code
are *bad*.

I'm just a dumb-ass programmer, but I don't even begin to understand the
argument behind doing this.
