Python and Cocoa?

I just ordered my first mac, a dual Ghz G4 with OS X. (I know ill hate myself 
in july when Apple hopefully gets a faster bus that isnt in the stoneage and 
DDR ram.) Are there any hooks into Cocoa with Python? I have been searching 
google for a bit with not very either/or results. It seems someone was 
working on MacPython to work with Cocoa but im not sure what stage thats at. 
Does anyone know of anything useable to write Cocoa apps with Python?
