Hi Joe
    No standard library function, but people have written extension
modules for this, myself included. Have a look on Parnassus for
'ioport' I think it's called.

It also depends on what OS you are using. I have a module which builds
for linux & w95(98?/ME?), but not NT/2000. Let me know if you're
interested in a copy.
