Trouble installing PyXML 0.6.5 with Python2.1 using RPM's (Newbie)

How do you know? Did you check the RPM database, or did you merely
check for the presence of the python binary?

Most likely, you are using an RPM on a system that is not completely
managed through RPMs. Instead, you should use the .tgz source
distribution.

BTW, where did you get the src.rpm from? The official releases, at

http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=6473

do not provide source RPMs...
