Doug,

idle is in the source distribution under the Tools/idle directory. Its
allways a good idea to have acopy of the python source around, plus it has
lots of extra goodies.....

ftp://ftp.python.org/pub/python/2.1.1/Python-2.1.1.tgz or

http://www.python.org/ftp/python/2.1.1/Python-2.1.1.tgz
