cgi problem using FieldStorage().

Your input tag is malformed: you don't need a closing TAG, you need a
closing angle-bracket. Replace the line that reads

<input class="customerPONbr" type=text name=customer</input>

with

<input class="customerPONbr" type="text" name="customer">

Then cgi will see an input with the name you expect.
