doctest/pychecker "problem"

When using the suggested self-importing mechanism of calling
doctest (suggested in the docs), pychecker reacts:

   Module (foo) imports itself

Is there another way to get the current module than to import
it? If not, perhaps pychecker shouldn't see it as a problem?

I guess there may be a config option for it...
