BTW, if Python had a Hypercard-like visual environment - it could be a
major boost for cp4e!

Parts are present: we have nice Sketch vector drawing program, lots of
widget's libraries, I am sure, there is an embeddable paint-like editor -
and there is Glade to tailor GUI interfaces.

The problems are, IMHO, that:

1. There is no common package where all this is put together, allowing
interested person to install and use it (and not waste time to chase
suitable versions on the Net).

2. Glade is a bit too difficult for a beginner. HyperCard had clearer
interface. Each scriptable object had a script, there were hierarchy of
objects which catch certain events, etc. All this is doable in Glade, but
with what effort?

3. I am not sure about win32, but multimedia capabilities of Linux aren't
that great. How do I play a movie of acceptable quality in a Tk window? Is
it possible to synchronize clicks and sounds? Etc. (Please, tell if I am
wrong here. I have not checked this area a year or so - and everything is
developing so fast on Linux).
