    The consequences are greater than that.  A lot of people in the
British Commonwealth are going to have to give up a lot of their
friends.  No longer will the average joe be able to go to the pub for
some fun with his or her mates.  On a related note, the australian phrase 
g'day mates will need to be changed also.
