Hi, Hannah.
I can't speak for clients generically, only the ones who have hired my
company. We do almost zero client-side Java work -- occasionally one of our
web management clients requires something that calls for an applet. Many of
our clients have stated up front that we are not to consider using Java
unless it's unavoidable. No hype in my part of the world...
