effbot's windows console module

The only link I find for it these days is

but it seems to be invalid (I get a Swedish screen
with what I think is an error message).  Can anybody
suggest where I can point newbies asking for such a
functionality?  Unfortunately I don't seem to have a
copy of the module around (said newbies need binaries
for 2.1, but I could build & make those available if
I could get the sources).
