Yes. For example, there are "performance thresholds" that once passed
mean that performance doesn't matter as much in a particular subject area.
For example, if a scripting language can display dialog boxes
instantaneously without any "visible" pause, then the scripting language
has passed that performance threshold. The differences between 1/100th
of a second to draw and 1/1000th of a second to draw the dialog don't
matter in any way that most people care about.

Since Python is a superior programming environment for a great many
things, time itself is Python's friend. In time, due to Moore's law, Python
will pass more and more peformance thresholds, just in the same way
that other languages eventually surpassed assembly language.
