Should I close after popen??

I decided to see what happened :-) So I did some experimenting.

The files seems to be closed, I checked /proc/[pid]/fd and when I
do the popen call, and chew on the fd's I see two extra files there,
when I was finished with the fd's they are gone.

Thumbs up.

p.s. Still worried though.. is it 'clean', I always close the doors
        after me.. You know.. raised by strict parents and so
        on.. keeping down the heat bills.
