Why "from __future__" stinks; a counter-offer

Hear hear!! I agree!

"from __future__" is ugly. It is non-intuitive. It
    suggests that something having to do with modules
    is going on... which it isn't. And it is very
    difficult to explain to people who don't REALLY
    REALLY understand what's going on.

I don't really expect to get any vote in the matter,
but if we're just looking for opinions to be expressed,
then I'll agree with Jason
