Problems installing MySQLdb...

Hi, I'm having the darndest time installing MySQLdb in Python 2.0 running on
FreeBSD.

Below is the interaction I get. /distutils/sysconfig.py is looking for
config/Makefile which doesn't exist, but I've never had a directory named
"config" at the top-level. No matter how many times I've tried to
re-install Python.

Does anyone out there have a clue about what's going on?

Additional info: I'm running a virtual private server through Verio and I'm
trying to install this on a local version of Python (hence the
/usr/home/axiomfir prefix on everything).
