Chinese text GIF file generation

OK, got some help. Here are some more pointer from a friend:

- c2gif (listed at http://www.armed.net/how/pg003248.htm , at
  ftp://ftp.ifcss.org/pub/software/unix/convert/c2gif001.tar.gz
  http://www.math.ncu.edu.tw/~luors/c2gif/

- if you are using a Mac, you can just use AppleScript to copy the 
text,
  paste it into SimpleText or AppleWorks, paste in the text, and save 
it
  as a graphic file.  It works with TrueType fonts so it scales.

- http://www.ocrat.com/reaj/gif.html
  This is in Java and works on bitmapped Chinese fonts.

- http://www.ok88.com/go/svc/big52img.html
  It is a website that does it, but I don't know if you can get their
  script.

- http://www2.fhy.net/editor/JiZhang/software/gb2gif/win98.html
  runs on DOS..
