If there's nothing else that this www of ours has done, barring a
planetwide catastrophy, I don't think we have to worry about old
archives/installers being available somewhere, even without
intentionally planning for it.

Heck, I can still find zip archives of some of my public distributions
of software from 8-10 years back (and I stopped distributing it almost
as long ago), sometimes in the strangest places :-)
