I think you're probably right, and that what I wrote wasn't very sensible.  
I think I understand his frustration.

I'm a relative newcomer to Python, but on the whole I've been *very* 
encouraged by my experience with it so far.  (We also have a vocal advocate 
in my company, and I am becoming another.)
