If 2.1.1 follows the dictates of PEP 6 (which I wrote but have
insufficient competence to verify compliance), the answer to your
question is a definite "No!"  I've got a fair amount of trust in Thomas
Wouters (2.1.1 Release Czar), though, so it's a pretty good bet you're
safe.
