If it gets defined in terms of divmod(), as Guido would like to do
(see <cppubbipxg.fsf at cj20424-a.reston1.va.home.com>), then this would be:

    1.3 div 0.3 == 4.0
    1.3 mod 0.3 == 0.1

which is pretty much what you want.
