Btw. is there a description of what the various CVS branches mean? Most of the
names are pretty obvious, like "release21-maint", but others aren't.

If such a page doesn't exist, I think it would be a good idea to write a short
dscription for each branch and put it in "Python @ Sourceforge FAQ".
