Should I learn Python or Java?

OTOH, Java and Smalltalk both take the "we are the world" approach,
while Python slithers into whatever niches it finds, playing nicely
with everyone it finds there. (UNIX? It can fork/pipe/munge text files with
the best of them. Windows? It can COM and ActiveX until your face
turned blue. Java? There isn't a class it can't use)
