Python on Win 98

Instead of using the interactive interpreter, use the
'msdos' window:
start - program files - ms dos window.

Go to your location of python (ie
f:/programfiles/python)

and type:

python yourpythonfilename.py




It just doesn't work: it gives me an error message
like:

File "<stdin>", line 1
    c:\programming\python20>python hello.py
     ^
SyntaxError: invalid syntax

so what do I do???
