How to set up an XML-RPC server (newbie)

Hi.

I'm totally new to xml-rpc, and relatively new to python.

I just want to set up xml-rpc, to play around with in the
first place.

I guess I would have to set up an xml-rpc server first, but
I can't find out how to do it in python. However I found a
step-by-step manual using Zope. Do I need to install that,
or what?

Anyways, I'm using Mandrake 7.2 linux, python 1.5.2-13,
python-xmlrpc-1.0-8

I really could use some hints to get going.
