Is Python for me?

Huh? No, I'm not joking. Looking over my post, maybe something was unclear. I'm
not saying the language has to redistributable, jsut that is has to produce
redistributable compiled code. (Or, as in a few languages, produce shipable
interpertable code with a stripped-downl interperter included)

It seems Lisp, for one, meets all the criteria. Why shouldn't I get opinions on
what else might be interesting?
