There are any number of excellent references on Python. For the
general language you might try:

	Python Developer's Handbook, Andre Lessa, Sams

	Programming Python, Mark Lutz, O'Reilly (cannonical language
reference)

	Learning Python, Mark Lutz, O'Reilly, 1999

	Internet Programming with Python, Aaron Watters, M&T Books

for a start ...
