shelve and the best db possible

I have used an old bsddb 2.x interface from TCS with a largish data
base (btree, hundreds of MB's, hundreds of thousands of updates)
without any problems. Don't know whether it's still available somewhere.

The module name is bsddb (or TCS.bsddb)
