I did not label him dictator, and I am simply using the language that
is widespread on this list. As far as I am aware, DFL (and
particularly BDFL) is not a term that offends Guido. I just explicitly
pointed out that he cannot be a dictator in the sense of a denier of
freedom - that was the whole point of the 'weak dictatorship'
statement - so I'd appreciate it if you stop trying to twist my words.

I'm simply saying - fine, you win. I am not saying I'm wrong, but I am
leaving. I am not going to hang around here whining - the history of
the issue is that the whiners have been the pro-PEP238 camp as most
anti-PEP238 people never had a reason to whine until a couple of weeks
ago. I've stated my arguments and, by the simple means of putting the
whole rationale in one place, my opinion apparently went from being
easily-countered-with-weak-arguments to
too-much-trouble-to-counter-so-lets-ignore-it. There is no argument
that can counter being ignored, so there is no point me staying.

I have an interest in how Python eases this issue, as I still have old
code to deal with, but beyond that, this has gone too far already. And
beyond this post now, I have no further patience for defending my
point of view or contributing in any way to this topic.
