It's been a time that I was masochistic enough to use Slackware (7.0 at the
time) ;-) But it doesn't look too difficult, as Python and MySQL are already
included in Slackware 8.0.

The next thing you'll want is the MySQLdb database module that's available at
http://dustman.net/andy/python/MySQLdb

If you have a specific problem, just come back and ask.
