freeBSD 2.1.1 extension problem

Yes I think it's just now coming in. I guess the people that package up
the new versions work on really up to date systems. I can turn off the
alleged support in include/python2.1/config.h, but that sort of hack
always leaves me with nagging doubts etc etc.
