Two PythonWin problems

ActivePython 2.1.212  MS Windows 95 4.00.950 C

1.  Under: View => Options => Tool Menu => New

    Any attempt to enter a Python command gives:
        win32ui: Error in Command Message handler for command ID 15009, Code
768

2. The Help index is displayed, but not the text associated with the indexed
item.  I suspect that this is a Win 95 problem.

I would appreciate any suggestions.
