Problems installing on Solaris2.6

The way I got it installed on Solaris 2.6 is to use the binary version from www.activestate.com.  Of course, this doesn't address your original question exactly.

When installing on Solaris 2.6, I get the following message that seems to
repeat endlessly:

Listing /opt/python/lib/python2.1/ ...

This is from "make install" after successfully running
"configure --prefix=/opt/python" and "make".

I have tried with version 1.6 as well and have the same problem.

Any help would be appreciated.
