Win95: "Corrupt intallation detected." - cause known, solution needed

Which installer? (Pythonlabs or ActiveState? or PythonWare?)

I'm sure that this can be done without NT--I just installed Pythonlabs 2.1.1 and
win32all on a win98 box two days ago.  But the different distributions *do* use
significantly different install procedures, so it's difficult to help unless we
know which one you're using.  :)
