This isn't true. JScript (a MS JavaScript clone) is supported by Windows
Scripting Host, and so can script anything on windows. IIS even supports
server-side JavaScript, so you can write the server and client side in the
same language.

I still thing Python is a better server-side choice, but JavaScript is a
viable alternative.
