Using PIL

Gang,

I downloaded and Installed PIL 1.1, and
was looking in the directories created by the
tarball to look for a "hello world" type example
written in python that would create a Jpeg or
PNG type image.  "make check" worked, so
I think it installed correctly.

Did I miss something, or could someone please
point me to such a demo program.  I did a

grep -i create *.py */*py

with nothing obvious.  I just want to create a (non PDF)
image to serve back to my web prowser through
zope (the PDF works, but it requires the Acroread
add-in to the browser).
