Right.  Have you guys considered that maybe it's time to tell everyone to
bugger right off: you're gonna start right from scratch, having learned so
much from all the mistakes that were never made ('cause the BDFL has that
nifty time machine), and will release Pyth^h^h^h^hVENOM3000 as of January
1, 2001, to properly kick off the new millenium?
 
(Honestly, if that's at all feasible, go for it; all the existing Python
code can continue to run on the old interpreter.  Plenty of developers will
take up the new interpreter for new applications.  They'll certainly be
better off for it!)
