Since you said this in reply to someone else asking for a new module (not at
all related to XML) to be added to 2.0, I assume you're trying to make a
point, but not clear what it may be.  The decision to add XML to 2.0 was
made before feature freeze, if that's what you're getting at (and, yes, the
then-current new xml package was in the 2.0b1 distribution 3 weeks ago).
